Restoration
In order to be able to enjoy your instrument for the years to come, it must be handled with care at all times and kept under constant climatic conditions. However, in time, damage is almost inevitable, and as the wood loses its elasticity, body tension can cause cracks and distortion.
It is, therefore, of utmost importance to let an expert have a professional look at your instrument on a regular basis, especially where historic instruments are concerned: mainly in an attempt to conserve and restore stability and function, as well as from an aesthetic point of view.
When restoring an instrument, it is an absolute must
for me to take its history and stylistic features into
consideration as I endeavour to maintain as much of
its original substance as possible.
For this very reason I only use reversible materials
and techniques to guarantee easy access and perfect
reparation. I am always available for consultation
for any matters concerning the restoration of your
instrument.
